[mythtv-users] will this TV work for me?

To add, the VDPAU hqscaling quality is superb. I watch a fair bit of
SD video on my 50" 1080p plasma (I only get Fox Soccer in SD sadly)
and when I upgraded to the GT220 and enabled vdpauhqscaling the
picture quality was much improved.

That said, the final quality at scale will obviously depend on the
source quality.

Also, don't worry so much about scaling SD to 720p or 1080p, as it is
really irrelevant, the real issue that kills the quality of SD video
is screen size. At something like 50" it doesn't matter if the tv is
480i or 1080p, a 480i signal is just going to plain look bad, a decent
interpolating scaler will only make it look less awkward.
