This comes up from time to time on this list and it's just a fact of
life that many people will not be able to dedicate a STB to Myth
exclusively.  These boxes aren't free and I certainly can't justify
renting another one just for the occasional on-demand usage or what
not.

To put it in perspective, one STB rental costs six times a Schedules
Direct subscription.
