If that's the case, in mythtv you just need to do what I wrote just before.

I can't comment about how to set that audio card for the rest of
Ubuntu, but for mythtv it's trivial

I recommend that you use ALSA with mythtv

I can't comment how to use pulse, you may want to ask your question on
the pulse distribution list / forum
