This isn't quite true.
The GMA950 minis suck for gaming support. They are not that old
and they manage to choke on games that are a little old themselves.
The idea that everything "just works" and that it is all simple
nirvana is a little misleading.

Apple gear by virtue of it's pricetag should have a longer
operational life.
It should also not through hardware support errors with the
bundled applications or even the 3rd party applications really.
