[mythtv-users] mythtv-setup spawns new window and exits before I can read anything

So, in trying to work on this further, I see that even if I stop
mythbackend prior to launching mythtv-setup it still prompts asking to
stop mythbackend. If I hit NO then it seems to just exit there. If I
hit YES it complains:

stop: Unknown instance: mythtv-backend start/running, process 6388

Then it still completes the cycle of spawning another xterm window and
closing it, and then it re-launches the mythbackend process that
wasn't running prior to mythtv-setup launch.

I'm still not able to get into mythtv-setup at this point.
