One thing i know with my setup the frontend will only playback the
current recording show if I have live tv on and I allow it to watch
while it records. If you dont want to hear it while it records then just
go back to the main menu?
If your saying that the sound comes through even at the main menu, then
your tv card might be hooked up wrong, like you have a sound ouput from
the tv card going straight to your tv.
There are sound settings in the playback area that setup the sound, you
could try some of the settings there. Although you would have to mess
with it again when you wanted sound back. Maybe someone has a a better idea.
From your description you have analog, ati tv wonder is a analog card.
