Or now in gentoo with the multilib overlay you can compile and install
most everything that is worth dual compiles in both 32 and 64 bit at
the same time.

I have my own forked repo for that which (when I am not working 80
hours a week at the day job I update with packages a little earlier
than the official overlay)
