I'm surprised no one has mentioned that you can install a 32-bit chroot
inside of a 64-bit installation in order to run whatever you want in 32-bit
mode.  That's how I work all my 32-bit apps.  You can even write scripts
that use dchroot in order to launch them from 64-bit land.
