I don't know, but I used .lircrc and keybinding to dedicate a remote
button to the Zoom function, and just leave the Myth default zoom
setting Off. Now changing modes is so quick and easy it doesn't matter
what a show comes up as.

FYI I also eliminated the H.Stretch and V.Stretch Zoom options from
the source code (see my prior postings to this list) so I can cycle
Off/Half/Full with fewer keypresses. You might also be able to tweak
the source code in the same place to default to Half.
