Yes.

Almost, but half-backwards.

When you enable "Avoid conflicts between Live TV and scheduled shows", 
Live TV chooses the last available card first, then the 2nd to last, 
etc.  So you add your cards in reverse-Live-TV order (and you must 
enable "Avoid conflicts between Live TV and scheduled shows" or else the 
behavior is dependent on many other things).

Recordings do, however, use inputs from first to last, so you connect 
inputs in desired recordings usage order.
