Thanks Mike. I confirmed that the IR emmitter on the HDPVR was NOT
sending a singnal, but the IR Blaster on my PVR150 (which I have never
used before) sure is. DOH!

So now I am off to see if I can find out how to get LIRC to send the
commands to the HDPVR instead of the PVR150.

For future readers, the IR emitter on my HDPVR DOES blink a red LED when
it receives a signal.
