I picked up an MCE rc6 remote from Amazon for about $20, primarily as
proof-of-concept to see if an rc6 remote could run my particular imon.
It does, so the concept is proven. In the meantime, I've taken the IR
receiver that came with it and put it on another computer that also acts
as a frontend machine. I take the remote to where I'm watching the Myth.
That said, the remote is one of the cheaper ones, because it won't learn
any TV codes. A better MCE remote will learn TV codes so you can at
least turn the thing on and off, maybe adjust the volume. One of these
days I'd like to get a better MCE remote for the myth machine on the
main TV, and put the cheapie downstairs with the computer.
