[mythtv-users] Using myth.find_orphans.pl with multiple back ends and multiple recordings directories... does this work?

It should handle storagegroups directories, but you should run it once
on each backend you have (you can specify the backend with the --host
option).
Backup the DB first, and choose the --dryrun option to test the
effects of the script before committing them.
The find_orphans script is (paraphrasing Mike Dean) a hotchpotch of
code that needs reorganising, but it was updated for storagegroups
some time ago, so it's worth trying a dry run.

Each new recording is marked with the recording backend's hostname and
the storage group to which it was allocated. Each storage group
records a hostname and directory path. I don't know enough about the
'missing recording lookup algorithm' to say how much searching the
backend carries out across hosts when trying to locate a missing
recording.
