[mythtv-users] Using myth.find_orphans.pl with multiple back ends and multiple recordings directories... does this work?

Hi...

After shrinking and repartitioning one of my recording directories
(following some good suggestions from this list) I've hit upon some
missing programs (in the data base but can not be found by a
mythfrontend). There were not many so I thought I'll just delete the
data base entries and be done w/it.

So I turned to myth.find_orphans.pl to find data base entries w/no
recordings or recordings w/no data base entries.

But, where I thought I had this tool working before, it now appears
useless. That is, it appears to be confused and not able to cope with
multiple back ends and / or multiple recording directories on a back
end. I get way more missing data base entries or missing recordings
then I expected. I fear if I let myth.find_orphans.pl run it will wipe
out the majority of my recordings!

Some more background: Before shrinking and repartitioning, I had moved
many programs on the Slave Back End mythtv box to a 2nd recording
directory on a different HDD. After running out of room there I moved
more recordings to the Master Back End mythtv box's recordings
directory. I've been told it doesn't matter where a recording is - that
the mythfrontends will find them as long as they are placed in any of
the recording directories.

Does anyone know how well myth.find_orphans.pl deals with multiple back
ends which have multiple recordings directories?

Or, perhaps, can anyone comment if I have damaged the relationship
between the data base and the recordings now that I've moved dozens of
them to different recording directories and back ends?

-thanks
