What about the Slim profile, as Mike suggested?

Another thing to try would be to manually change the Video Scan type 
while watching the program - press the 'M' key, or equivalent on your 
remote, scroll to 'Video Scan', and see what Myth detected - either 
Interlaced or progressive.  See what happens if you change it to the 
other - does the picture change?  Or no difference?
