On the rare occasion I transcode any shows for DVD or whatever, I tend
to use scripts of my own, so others here can speak for the current
state of mythtranscode better than I.

For me, projectx is the _only_ reliable way I've found to demux my OTA
ATSC recordings without loosing sync just as you describe.  With any
other method I'm lucky if one out of three sync correctly.

I think I remember some comment here that mythtranscode could be
configured to demux with projectx or some such thing, but I can't
remember for sure.
