[mythtv-users] Why did you pick MythTV VS the other PVRs?

* I had 6 children and a ton of scratched DVD's to prove it.
* I had tinkered with PVR's but hadn't been impressed.
* I had a TV capture card, but the software was totally awful.

So, hours of googling, hours of reading Jarod's site, and many $$
later (and, now, about 6 years later ;-):

* I have 8 children, but no scratched DVD's that I care about (but
over 800 movies on my multi-TB array, all with originals safely in
storage)
* I tinker with PVR's and say "yeah, but mine can do ________" and walk away.
* I have -several- TV capture cards, and the software is great!
