[mythtv-users] Since firmware upgrade Myth Optical-drive eject fails ?

I upgraded the firmware of my BD/DVD/CD-Rom on the weekend.

But after a reboot, Mythbuntu 9.04 can no longer eject the drive.  I get 
a popup message saying the eject failed with some sort of device name 
string "LG_GGC_H20L...." failed to eject.

If I ssh-in, and run 'eject' - it works flawlessly!

Any sage advice ?
