tsMuXeR with tsMuxerGUI available for linux, can read these files and
has a cut function if you only want to cut at front and at end. So you
have to know how many seconds from start-point you want to KEEP and
where to stop.
Very usefull on recording with NO commercials in the middle. I use it
for BBCHD ArteHD etc.
If there are more commercial-cuts needed you can demux with above
mentioned tsMuxeR/tsMuxerGUI, mux with mkvmerge GUI version which has a
flexible split function part1-of-12min part2-of-6min part3-of-16.20min
etc. You can after that join the even-numbered files with the same
mkvmerge GUI to a final-commercialfree.mkv
