Most STBs have local controls, usually sparse and difficult to figure out, but 
kids seem to find such things easily.

That is one drawback to Myth, it has no feedback mechanism to know it is 
actually tuned to the desired channel. Just the nature of the beast at 
present, without some sort of return path from the device being tuned and a 
way of interpreting the information it's just not possible.
