[mythtv-users] VDPAU - Picture format is not supported

Whenever I try to play a x264 mkv file, with vdpau turned on, I get the
following error message on-screen: "Couldn't start A/V Sync". In the log
I get something about an unsupported resolution. (The "unsupported"
resolution is 1280x720, btw! The mkv file is 1,1 GiB large.)

Does anyone know what the cause could be?
I've tried turning the "aggressive sound buffering" on and off, it did
nothing.
