Good call.  That fixed it at least for the first test recording.  (Yeah, I know, small sample size, knock wood, etc.) The "end users" are clamoring to get onto the TV so I can't do the positive control, but I suspect if that setting was changed from "Always" to "Never" it would break tuning on the problem channel for live TV too.
