[mythtv-users] Unstable mythtv with Ubuntu 9.04 ( readStringList errors)

Hello fellow mythtv'ians.

I had my mythtv working flawlessly for the last 2 years.
Some time ago I finaly upgraded my box from Ubuntu 8.10 -> 9.04

The upgrade went smooth and everything seems to play well.
After some time I noted that myth "hangs" after a while.

I can't change channel and after some time and error message comes up telling me it lost connection with the backend.

After some work I managed to find the following relevant messages in the log that happends with the hang.

2009-07-31 00:31:17.575 Connected to database 'mythconverg' at host: localhost
2009-07-31 00:31:17.578 MythSocket(7fb6d0001b30:-1): writeStringList: Error, socket went unconnected.
2009-07-31 01:52:31.627 Connection to backend server lost
2009-07-31 01:52:31.629 Connecting to backend server: 10.0.0.111:6543 (try 1 of 5)
2009-07-31 01:52:38.630 MythSocket(2f732c0:26): readStringList: Error, timeout (quick).
2009-07-31 01:52:38.630 Protocol version check failure. The response to MYTH_PROTO_VERSION was empty.
2009-07-31 01:52:38.631 Reconnection to backend server failed

I was running http://www.avenard.org/files/ubuntu-repos awesome fork.
I have now tried the follwing:

- clean reinstall og 9.04 on an own disk.
- new mythconverg database.
- Vanilla Ubuntu -fixes package
- weekly thunk builds
- svn (thrunk)

All give the same symtoms after a while.

About my setup:

- Ubuntu 9.04 64bit
- 2 gig ram
- Intel 6600 quad
- Nvidia 9500
- 2 DVB-C cards
- Loads of disk

I run both backend and frontend on the same box.
