[mythtv-users] Ubuntu runlevel question

It is running init, but my understanding is that Ubuntu only uses 2
runlevels now, 1 and 2, Upstart takes care of the rest.  If you drop
down to 1, you have to login as root locally.  Changing to 2 is fully
up in graphical mode.

Sometimes my primary X crashes, sometimes it is a vnc session that
gives me trouble, and sometimes it just looks like there is a memory
leak and like to just restart all graphical sessions with one command.
 I was able to do that remotely (ssh) before by setting init 3, then
back to init 5.  I guess I'll have to live with gdm stop as long as I
am using ubuntu.
