Thanks for responding, Kim. I appreciate your thinking
about my problem...

1) As I stated before, I ran mythfilldatabase *after*
entering some of the XMLTV IDs. All were standard
channels that should have been picked up (KTLA,
CSPAN). They weren't. I don't see the point in
entering all of them if those two can't even get
picked up.

2) Despite the fact that I ran mythfilldatabase
manually, I let the system sit for 4 hours while my
family and I went to see some friends. When I came
back, still the correct channel/program assignments
had not been made.

3) It's bad enough that the channels with manually
entered XMLTV IDs aren't updating, but there are a
bunch of channels whose XMLTV IDs I never entered, and
yet they show up with bogus channel information. I get
a whole bunch where Myth assigns the XMLTV IDs of
Galavision Cable Network (Pacific), several that
falsely show up as USAP, some bogus ones showing up as
VH1, MTV2, etc. I *never* entered XMLTV ID data for
these channels.

4) Worse yet, sometimes when I'm on the OSD EPG, I hit
the "Right" key and the EPG shows some bogus show in
an incorrect time slot (meaning not in the near
future), *and* the EPG gets stuck on that show.
Meaning if I hit either the Right or the Left keys, it
keeps showing me the incorrect program information in
the bogus time slot.

I don't know if this helps, but here's some outputs
