[mythtv-users] Ubuntu 8.04 with MythTV 0.20.x

I had the same issue.

Solution that works for me was to remove mythtv from ubuntu via the
package manager, and then build from the version 20.2 source code, which
I had never done before.

Then ubuntu package manager knows nothing about mythtv.

I was surprised how easy it was.
