Hi all,

Attempts to record anything fails. In mythbackend.log, I get:

2008-03-24 22:05:29.781 TVRec(2): ASK_RECORDING 2 29 0 0
2008-03-24 22:06:01.580 TVRec(2): Changing from None to RecordingOnly
2008-03-24 22:06:01.586 TVRec(2): HW Tuner: 2->2
2008-03-24 22:06:01.663 SampleRate: Attempted to add a rate 32000 Hz,
which is not in the list of allowed rates.
2008-03-24 22:06:01.784 AutoExpire: CalcParams(): Max required Free
Space: 1.0 GB w/freq: 15 min
2008-03-24 22:06:01.794 Started recording: Nyheder: channel 1047 on
cardid 2, sourceid 1
ioctl VIDIOC_G_FMT: Invalid argument
strange error flushing buffer ...
2008-03-24 22:06:01.826 scheduler: Started recording: Nyheder: channel
1047 on cardid 2, sourceid 1

Resulting file is rather small, but grows slowly, even after the
recording should have stopped. /etc/init.d/mythtv-backend stop leaves
mythtbackend as a zombie process, and recording file keeps growing
slowly until reboot.

I have noticed that the "Attempted to add a rate 32000 Hz..." comes
regardless of chosen max audio bitrate (tried none, 32000 44100 and
48000), which might be explainable from this in dmesg when booting:

Mar 24 21:57:18 jekaterina kernel: [ 48.928772] bt87x0: Using board 1,
analog, digital (rate 32000 Hz).

I should note, though, that sound from the board is coming via a cable
from its line-out to line-in on my soundcard.

I wonder if /etc/dsp has something to do with this. Isn't that some oss
emulation thingy, whereas alsa uses /dev/snd?

Please let me know how to diagnose/debug in order to fix this ;-)

Best regards,

Sune Mølgaard
