Okay, out of desperation, I thought it might be a permissions problem,
so I issued a "GRANT ALL on mythconverg.* TO 'mythtv'@'%';" on my
backend's MySQL.  Seems to have done the trick.

Although now I have the frontend running, but there is only the
background, and no menu items...

I'm getting a lot of these error messages:

2008-03-25 14:32:47.095 The theme (MythCenter-wide) is missing a
themeinfo.xml file
2008-03-25 14:32:47.126 The theme (MythTVMediaCenterOSD) is missing a
themeinfo.xml file

... so I've obviously got it running; but not 100% yet.  Still have to
figure out what's going on with the themes.
