Well, looks like I'm dead in the water.

Background -

My master backend is running Fedora 8, and I've upgraded it to
MythTV-0.21 using Axel's RPM/smart. It seems to be using 0.21-fixes
branch.

% mythbackend --version
Please include all output in bug reports.
MythTV Version : Unknown
MythTV Branch : branches/release-0-21-fixes
Library API : 0.21.20080304-1
Network Protocol : 40
Options compiled in:

using_xvmc_vld using_glx_proc_addr_arb using_bindings_perl
using_bindings_python using_opengl using_ffmpeg_threads
using_libavc_5_3 using_live

My XBox/Xebian etch frontend is upgraded and running a MythTV-0.21 frontend:

xbox:~# mythfrontend --version
Please include all output in bug reports.
MythTV Version : Unknown
MythTV Branch : tags/release-0-21

using_xrandr using_xv using_xvmc using_xvmcw using_bindings_perl
using_bindings_python using_opengl using_ffmpeg_threads
using_libavc_5_3 using_live

The problem is that when I run mythfrontend on the XBox, I get the
following output in the mythfrontend log file:

2008-03-25 14:14:31.177 This version of MythTV requires an updated
database schema. Please run mythtv-setup or mythbackend to update your
database.

It seems like whatever version of MythTV the Debian etch is compiled
against, it doesn't use the same mythconverg DB schema as what Axel
used.

My question - what distro are you running on your backends? Any Fedora 8?

Thanks!
