[mythtv-users] transcoder looses subtitles - a bug or a feature?

I can't say if it is a bug or not, however, if you install and use ccextractor
http://ccextractor.sourceforge.net/
and run it before transcoding to create a .srt file then mythtv will see the .srt file and provide
subtitles when selected in mythtv players.

Downside--manual process, would need to create a script to run ccextractor before transcoding.
Also, I haven't tried it with cutlists, so the subtitles may not be synchronized if you cut out
sections while transcoding.

But it shows the potential to save subtitles when transcoding.
