Nobody ever replied to this one. I just had the same thing occur
again. What's more, my OTA reception and signal strength on this
channel is excellent tonight.
Here are the logs from when the recording started (or thought it started):
2008-03-06 21:00:07.669 TVRec(2): Changing from None to RecordingOnly
2008-03-06 21:00:07.675 TVRec(2): HW Tuner: 2->2
2008-03-06 21:00:07.679 DVBChan(1) Warning: Symbol Rate setting (0) is
out of range (min/max:5056941
/10762000)
2008-03-06 21:00:07.697 Started recording: Lost "The Other Woman":
channel 1071 on cardid 2, sourcei
d 1
2008-03-06 21:00:08.703 Reschedule requested for id 0.
2008-03-06 21:00:09.190 Scheduled 37 items in 0.5 = 0.00 match + 0.49 place
When I checked the list of recorded programs about 12 minutes into the
show it showed 0 bytes but was acting as though it was recording with
absolutely no sign of an error in the log. Actually I think what's
happening is that I get no file at all rather than zero length. In my
rush to rerecord the show I neglected to check before deleting the
recording. This is what the logs showed when I deleted the recording
from the frontend:
2008-03-06 21:12:08.410 Error deleting
'/video/recordings/1071_20080306210000.mpg' could not open
eno: No such file or directory (2)
2008-03-06 21:12:08.416 Delete Error '/video/recordings/1071_20080306210000.mpg'
eno: No such file or directory (2)
Currently I'm running 0.20.2 SVN 14972 as apposed to 14814 that I was
running the last time this occurred.
Has anyone else had this happen? I'm can't imagine how this can occur
and show no errors or any sign that the backend is even aware
anythings wrong. It's as though it's mysteriously writing into
nowhere or something.
I'm running with important and general logging. I hate to increase
that, as I'd probably have to write massive logs for months waiting
for this rare occurrence. I'd certainly expect anything that prevents
creating the file altogether to generate an important or general
message if the backend was aware there was an issue.
Seriously annoying...glad it doesn't happen more often.
