That's exactly what I was hoping to hear :)   hopefully it'll at least
be "usable enough" to last until I've saved up enough to upgrade the
other components.

At least initially I'll be sticking with SD, so hopefully my system
will be beefy enough.

I don't tend to use MythMusic or MythGallery all that often, but
thanks for the tips on disabling OpenGL. I'd suspected that will be
necessary, but now I know not to open tickets about the performance
;-)

This I'm used to... from occasionally running the frontend at
1600x1200 on my Athlon 1.33 GHz (TBird core :) ) desktop, with a
Matrox G450 video card, and non-DDR RAM.

Yeah, I figured I'll probably need to invest in more disks at some
point. I added a 1 TB MyBook (connected via USB2) a few months back,
and that's serving pretty well, but if I do go HD I figure I'll need
more.
