It means that although there were no errors, there was nothing in
/mnt/bigboymnt/mythbackup/mythconverg-1214-20081203030002.sql . Are you
sure that's a valid backup file?

What do:

ls -l /mnt/bigboymnt/mythbackup/mythconverg-1214-20081203030002.sql*
file /mnt/bigboymnt/mythbackup/mythconverg-1214-20081203030002.sql*

give?

I'm guessing that you actually want
/mnt/bigboymnt/mythbackup/mythconverg-1214-20081203030002.sql.gz and
that /mnt/bigboymnt/mythbackup/mythconverg-1214-20081203030002.sql is a
0-byte empty file that you should delete.

Once you successfully restore a backup, then you should go to
mythtv-setup and verify configuration. Then, start mythbackend, then
mythfrontend (and verify frontend settings) and things should work.

Note, also, if you changed your hostname(s) (of any
frontends/backends/jobqueue servers), you must fix it (
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Database_Backup_and_Restore#Change_the_hostname_of_a_MythTV_frontend_or_backend
) before running mythtv-setup/mythbackend/mythfrontend.

Mike
