[mythtv-users] twinview and mythTV (menu bar problems)

I currently have my myth box hooked up to a DLP projector via DVI. All is
well and good, and when I launch mythTV it's fullscreen, and beautiful!

What I want to do is add a small s-video screen and clone the output from
the projector onto it.

(nvidia 7300LE card with s-video, DVI, VGA, and component outputs. Only DVI
and s-video have connections.)

What I did was enable twinview in the nvidia settings control panel. This
seemed to give the desired effect; mythTV (actually all X applications
including gnome) was showing on both the projector and the svideo output.

So far so good, but the problem is that the gnome menu bars are now
*permanently visible* on both displays.

Two questions:

1) Is twinview the best way to copy the output from the DVI output to the
s-video port? (Ignoring that the projector is 16:9 1280x720 and the s-video
is 4:3 1024x768 ... unless that changes the answer, of course!)

2) Is there any way to get the gnome menu bars (top and bottom) to
disappear as they do with a regular single display setup?

Already double-checked that I didn't have "display mythtv in a window"
checked. It isn't. I also don't have a GUI resolution defined (0 x 0).

I've looked through a bunch of the archives and saw this same question, but
didn't see any answers. Also pounded the search at the ubuntu forums, but
couldn't get much to fall. So I'm looking for suggestions / options.

Thanks in advance!
