[mythtv-users] MSI K9NGM3 - firewire? Or?

Anyone (else) using an MSI K9NGM3?

I'm struggling with trying to get the firewire working with an SA4250 HDC  
STB.

My experience is that it has worked for a while then not worked, and I'm  
trying to ascertain whether it's the STB at fault or the firewire stack.  
I'm currently fooling around with cables and firewire cards to see if that  
makes a difference, but it'd be nice to know someone else was using it.

Alternately, I'd take suggestions for motherboards that have the same  
onboard features: Firewire board, GeForce 7xxx with HDMI & VGA out (also  
with S-Out would be ideal since I know I'm going to end up moving this  
machine between different TVs), audio with optional SPDIF, 10/100/1000  
LAN, at least two free slots for tuners + one slot for video (if there's  
no analog out). I think that's all the important stuff.

I looked at the ASUS-MGA board which looks great on paper but I don't like  
what I've read about their support. I'm inclined to use AMD rather than  
Intel, but the right board could persuade me.
