My PVR-150 is my backup tuner. Before I went HD this is all I had. I have
a HDHR that covers ~90% of the recordings now. But sometimes there is a
3rd thing I want to grab and usually one of those 3 is aired in SD. So
pushing to the PVR-150 wont really hurt.

I want to get the converter box connected so i can get my lower numbered
channels. With my antenna setup in analog I cant tune the lowered channels
clearly. Upgrading the antenna isn't really an option. I am in a appt and
I have the best I can get now.

Being the converter box was only ~10 it will due, if i can get the IR
working. Dont really want to spent another ~50+ dollars on a tuner. If i
spend any money on a tuner it will be when the HD PVR is supported.
