Not in the MythTV RPMs. Are you certain there wasn't a kernel or udev
update at the same time? If using yum, check the contents of
/var/log/yum.log for entries on the same day as the MythTV upgrade.

i) what's the output of:

# ls -lR /dev/dvb/

If the devices exist, do they have permissions that will allow
mythbackend to access them?

ii) do you have any DVB-specific entries in /etc/modprobe.conf

iii) what's the output of:

# lsmod | grep cx88

iv) you could try unloading the cx8808 module and reload the cx88-dvb
module, which is what the card uses (I have 3 of them on FC4):

# modprobe -r cx88-dvb cx88_blackbird cx8802 cx8800
# modprobe cx88-dvb

v) On FC4, I use a sysconfig modules file to load the cx88-dvb (and
ivtv/LIRC/imon/powernow) modules at boot automatically. To test, put
the following:

modprobe cx88-dvb

into a file called /etc/sysconfig/modules/kworld.modules and reboot.
Check your dmesg and syslog output are see if things resolve.
