converting my recordedseek table from MyISAM to InnoDB resulted in a
huge performance gain for me.

It fixed slow menu navigation in recordings, deletes are now fast, and I
dont get timeouts trying to load programs that are greater than 2 hours
in length.

/usr/bin/mysql_convert_table_format --user=root --password=XXX
--type=innodb mythconverg recordedseek

Hope this helps.
