[mythtv-users] Mythtv live tv failes to start

Check yhr mythbackend.log file in /var/log/mythtv.  You might need to touch
a file or something.

Using "manage recordings--->delete recordings", I deleted a recording that
was currently in progress. I then shut down mythtv. When I restarted
Mythfrontend and attempted to select  "watch tv", the request failed - it
just returned to the home panel; I ran mythfrontend from a command prompt
and here is the log:

What happened; and how do I fix it?
