[mythtv-users] moving from .20 to .21branch

This sounds similar to a problem I had when my database got slight
messed up with up/down grading.  The channel numbers you see in from
the mythtv-setup don't necessarily map to the correct physical
frequencies.  You can verify this for yourself by tuning into
something from the windows gui and see what frequency is selected.
Now try and tune into the same thing from myth and check the frequency
it got a lock on (hdhomerun_config FFFFFFFF get /tuner0/channel) and
they might be different.

has a good explanation (search adding qam channels).
