Actually, I somewhat disagree.  MythTV puts unusual loads on  
filesystems and has unique requirements.  I've had to abandon some  
conventional wisdom I held about Linux filesystems when setting up  
Myth systems.

For example, I *never* had to defragment an XFS partition until I  
started using it as a Myth video store.  Most experts will tell you,  
out of hand, that Linux filesystems never need defragmenting!  In  
normal use, that's true, but MythTV isn't normal use.
