That those experts are more likely to have a snap answer is a good
point, but the flip side of the argument is that the answers, *in
context* are likely to be useful to MythTV builders down the road, and
that capturing them in *Myth's* user mailinglist archive is therefore a
thing to be encouraged, which is very closely akin to one of the
important points I added to Stewart Smith and Mikal Still's _Practical
MythTV_, which I *think* made the final edit -- I haven't gottan my
copy yet:
Always post the answer if you posted the question.
So I think that the answer to this question really is up in the air.
