Looks like there's loads of possible 2-box solutions. I've already got
most of the required functionality with my existing 2 boxes, but I
want less not more :-) One thing that struck me is that most of
these boxes run off 12VDC, and the typical transformer supplied with
them is a cheap piece of cr at p that gets hot and wastes power
How easy/safe would it be to rig up a single good quality, efficient
12V PSU with multiple outputs? That would reduce power and cabling.
