[mythtv-users] Network issues seemingly caused by mythbackend

I've got a backend/frontend box with two tuners and a remote frontend with no tuners, both running on Ubuntu. When I upgraded from 0.19 to 0.20, suddenly the remote frontend started locking up on occassion. This happens when watching live TV or recordings. I never had this problem with 0.18 or 0.19. The first thing I did was rearrange the network so both boxes are on the same 100Mbps switch, away from most other network traffic. I also built a fresh backend box on new hardware with 0.20, Ubuntu 6.05. The problem remains. Sometimes the frontend just locks up and I can hit escape and go back to watching TV after a minute or two. Sometimes the BE dies and has to be restarted.

Has anybody else run into this? I just noticed recently that when I ssh into the backend to restart the daemon, immediately after starting the mythbackend daemon the IP connectivity to the box goes away for about a minute. This is consistent, and I can't figure out what is going on. How do I even begin to troubleshoot this?

Thanks for any help. I'm looking forward to watching TV without problems like I did with .19 and even .18.
