Hi when my myth user logs into KDE I get the error message below in the
mythfrontend output:
2007-02-01 00:57:58.502 Opening OSS audio device '/dev/dsp'.
2007-02-01 00:57:58.502 AudioOutput Error: WARNING: something is
currently using: /dev/dsp, retrying.
2007-02-01 00:57:58.502 NVP: Disabling Audio, reason is: WARNING:
something is currently using: /dev/dsp, retrying.
This causes my frontend to not have audio for around 5 minutes and then
it works fine. I have nothing odd in my autostart with KDE. Is KDE
just being slow to initialize the sound card or is it likely that some
programs are trying to use it?
I tried using /dev/adsp instead but I cannot get any sound out of that.
Also before at the top of the logs I am getting the following errors
which may be related:
