[mythtv-users] Feature request: VBI captions on by default

I would like to have VBI captions on by default. ATSC captions have
never worked right for me; they are slow, inaccurate, don't erase
properly, and ugly. VBI captions are fast, accurate, erase properly,
and the black background makes them much easier to read.

However, TV Settings|Playback|Always display closed captioning or
subtitles turns ATSC captions on by default. I've looked through
NuppelVideoPlayer.cpp but am stumped. Anyone want to whip up a quick
patch against 0.20.2 that would change this, so that the setting will
affect VBI instead of ATSC?
