Hi,

I am trying to tweek my mythbox to get 2 problems solved....

1. HDTV (getting it via firewire) is sporadically jumpy. At earlier
viewings it seemed fine, but now it is jumpy enough that it is BARELY
watchable. During watching HDTV -- I am seeing CPU usage at 147% and
memory usage at 51%

2. While all the tv shows (both HD & SD) display pretty close to correct
-- I can't get any other screen to fill my Mitushbishi TV fully. This
is partially the TV's fault, to see the problem see this pdf file (page
78).

Does anyone know how to over come that?

System info:

OS: Mandriva 2008
Kernel: 2.6.22.5
mythtv: svn (head)
Video Card Driver: NVIDIA-Linux-x86-100.14.09-pkg1.run

Hardware:

Hauppague PVR-500
GIGABYTE GV-NX73G256D-RH GeForce 7300GS 512MB GDDR2 PCI Express x16
WINTEC AMPO 1GB (2 x 512MB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Dual
Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 3AMD2533-1G1K-R
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+(65W) Windsor 2.0GHz Socket AM2 Processor
Seagate ST3300831A ATA Drive
MSI K9N Platinum Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 Ultra MCP ATX MB

/dev/hda:
 Timing buffered disk reads:  172 MB in  3.00 seconds =  57.26 MB/sec

/dev/hda:
 multcount    = 16 (on)
 IO_support   =  1 (32-bit)
 unmaskirq    =  1 (on)
 using_dma    =  1 (on)
 keepsettings =  0 (off)
 readonly     =  0 (off)
 readahead    = 256 (on)
 geometry     = 36481/255/63, sectors = 586072368, start = 0

Known issue:
 - Everything is on the single drive (both database and /mnt/store)
 - I haven't enabled XVMC as I figured I should have more than enough of
   a system to a handle this....

Thanks in advance.
