Fred,
As far as upgrading Mythdora they've said there will be an F8 version
"when it's ready". No timeline whatsoever. Well, there's somewhat of
a timeline - it'll come out when mythtv 0.21 is ready.
So I installed a mythdora box last night. I have a PVR-500 and an
NVIDIA card. It took me about 2 hours post installation to figure out
all the bizarre behavior and get it to display live tv (and
record/pause it) and display video via SVIDEO to my Tv. I'm not 100%
sure but I think 2 hours is probably on the low to medium end of
things. The only thing that isn't working is the Hauppauge remote,
but that could be because I picked the wrong one in the setup screen.
(There are 3 or 4 Hauppage black/grey remote settings) So far I'm
pretty happy with it although I'm sure I still have some more kinks to
iron out.
Hope that helps!
