Thanks Michael - I was able to figure out what you meant... Still no joy 
in getting this, and I agree this should be easy, the Hauppauge 350 
remote is very common. I have browsed around and found several places 
offering the lircrc file for the silver/gray remote which I have and all 
are the same. One thing I have noted however is that all the config 
files are referring to a remote with the model number of A415-HPG  I 
cannot find this exact model number on my remote, what I find when I 
open the battery cover is A415 OH/S 1-3 so I am wondering if this is a 
new/different model than what people elsewhere are using? Anyone know 
the answer?

I tried using the irrecord utility but got a failure message about being 
unable to determine the gap...
