hi all,

I've recently come into a couple of newer PCs, and those combined with
some others I already have give me a decent amount of boxes to play
around with for a home media network type setup. Planning on using Myth
as a PVR, but I'm not sure about the best distribution of resources to
take full advantage of the hardware I have. Here's list

Workstation 1:
P4 2.8 w/ HT
1.5 GB Memory
1x 40GB IDE HDD
On-board video (Intel)
48x CD-RW

Workstation 2:
same as WS1

Workstation 3:
Athlon64 3000+
1.0 GB Memory
2x 80GB IDE HDDs
1x 80GB SATA HDD
1x 500GB external USB 2.0 HDD
GF 5900XT (1VGA, 1 DVI, 1 svideo)
48x CD-RW/DVD-/+RW

Workstation 4:
Atlon XP 2000+
512GB Memory
1x 20GB IDE HDD
1x 40GB IDE HDD
32x CD-RW
GF3 (1 VGA, 1 svideo

Workstation 5:
P3 650
256MB Memory
1x 20GB IDE HDD
Onboard video

Available Capture Cards:
1x Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 350
2x Hauppauge Wincast TV (BT848)

Thinking of using the athlon64 system as a dedicated Myth backend, and
moving the 5900XT to one of the P4 2.8s as a personal workstation/myth
frontend. dunno what to do with the others though...

any thoughts or suggestions based on what some of you have done with
multiple machines?

Thanks!
